Awesome just got better - This new EDI+ is the Bees Knees!
A brand new device from the renowned Centex - now available for the first time outside the USA through OzParaTech!
Combines the three great tools from the original EDI:
Temperature, EMF and Vibration (Geophone)
Pressure and Humidity
The EDI+ has an SD memory card slot which allows you to continuously log all the device data while you investigate. A recording LED shows that the logger is active and you can MARK the log where you want to compare the readings against something else you may have picked up investigating at the time. Centex have a data graphing program for download to display what you capture on the memory card (see links on our product page)
Enhanced Display Functionality
The EDI+ display can be cycled through displaying live data from each of the sensors, with temperature displayed in degrees F or C, using the DISP button.
The EDI+ contains an ambient temperature sensor which is just one of the sensor readings which can be selected on the real-time LED display.
Two separate LED lights alert you when significant temperature increase or decrease happens (hot/cold spot alarm).
The EDI+ contains an ambient pressure sensor which can be shown on the real-time LED display.
An indicating LED alerts you when significant pressure change happens such as a door unexpectedly opening or closing.
The EDI+ contains an ambient humidity sensor which can be shown on the real-time LED display.
An indicating LED alerts you when significant humidity change happens.
The EDI+ contains an accurate 3-axis geophone. Built with an accelerometer, the EDI+ is programmed to pick up the slightest movements or vibrations on the surface it is sitting on but not much more.
A touch on the table/surface the device sits on and the EDI+ will let you know by lighting up a series of LEDs placed along the bottom. Like a bar graph the device will light up based on the intensity of the vibration or movement.
This can also be toggled on/off by a button on the device if the device is being used in a hand-held fashion (but continues to log to the SD memory card anyway if logging is active)
Included in the EDI+ is a sensitive ultra-low frequency EMF detector. Programmed specially to detect changes in the electromagnetic field around the device, the EDI+ will let you know by lighting up a series of LEDs placed near the bottom. Like a bar graph the device will light up based on the intensity of the EMF.
The inbuilt speaker also alarms if there is a sharp change in EMF and can be toggled on/off by a button on the front panel.
